On Sunday 31st May 2015, Pentecost, the Alexandrian Primate inaugurated the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary. The church is part of the orphanage complex, and it is the first building that has been completed.

The inauguration was attended by the Egyptian Consul; the family of the Greek Consul, Mr. Panagiotis Taloumis; the local Mayor; the Mayor of Alasora, a town near the capital; a representative of the Madagascan government; and a large number of believers.
